Exposed Brick

Ever since I saw that amazing brick wall at my field trip to Ann Sacks, I've been noticing brick and loving the impact it can make in a space. I don't know if I'd necessarily choose it for my own home someday...but I do love the look of it whenever I see it, and would love it if it already existed in my home. I especially love when I see it in commercial spaces like coffee shops or restaurants!

What do you guys think of exposed brick? Love it? Hate it? Would you want it in your home?

Yes, love it!! And I have some in my home, it's one of the features that made me fall in love with our house and convince my husband that we needed to buy it! We also have some pretty bad faux brick added by previous owners which I do not enjoy, but I recently came across a great looking faux option in a magazine. I think I would go as far as installing that because I love the look!

I love what brick does to a room! My mother- and father-in-law have an entire room in their home with beautiful brick flooring -- topped with a luxurious, large Persian rug, which brings out the lovely red tones in the brick. It is by far my favorite room in the house! :-)

Oh yes! I toootally love exposed brick..My parents house used to have this fantastic wall with perfectly red and beautiful brick..but my oldest sister made all the interior decorating decisions and painted the whole thing white.. It was horrible and I don't think I've quite forgiven her for it... If I ever inherit that residence I'm going to have to figure out how to get the brick back..haha..sad but true!

court, my childhood home had a massive fireplace wall done from top to bottom in brick, which also wrapped around into the entry way and the hallway to our bedrooms. it was amazing and awesome - the palette was similar to the bricks in your last pic. i loved it.

Brick is beautiful! As long as it's not the faux textured ones, or the ones with wormholes across the surface. But even those can be redeemed with some white paint!
