What's Your Design Style?

Sometimes, I get stuck. There are so many different design styles, and so many aspects of each that I like. Luckily I'm getting into the field of interior design where I'm able to help others design spaces in their own individual styles.

But what would I do if I was designing my own house from scratch and could do WHATEVER I wanted with it? With no budget?

You'd think by taking a look at my Pinterest boards, it would be totally clear what my style is. But alas. There's such a variety, and I love them all. I know what I really dislike...and I can recognize it right away. But I can appreciate a wide range of design styles and can never quite describe just one as my favorite.

I always love a coastal inspired home...

Country Living
But sometimes I'm drawn to a feminine, sophisticated room with some glamorous details (including THEE most amazing bed I've ever seen, I might add)...

Bear Hill Interiors
Other times I just want a cozy and warm farmhouse with loads of character and charm...

Sarah Richardson HGTV
And then sometimes I like more modern, eclectic rooms with fun pattern and texture:

Lonny
And then I love cool industrial accents, vintage and antique pieces, things collected from around the world...so many things.

So then, what's a girl to do? I guess my options would be to either to combine everything I love together and make it into something beautiful, OR own multiple houses and then design each in its own unique style. (Haaa, I like that option. I can dream, right?!)

What's your favorite design style? Or do you also have a hard time picking just one?

I love it...i'm sooo the same way. I pretty much love all design styles...so i end up with a very "eclectic" looking space, but i'm cook with it!!

I'm right there with you girl! Half the time I'm team girly glam and the other half I go for boho eclectic. It's tough to narrow it down I think!

i always have a problem picking. generally i go for classic pieces. i think i just need different style houses all over the country so i can have it all. :)

Oh my gosh, Courtney -- I have the sam exact problem. My Pinterest boards and magazine tear-out sheets are all over the place. So much so that I have now designated my "pins" to certain boards..."Woodsy Vacation Home," "Beach House"...I just can't help myself. ;-)

Haha wow I feel like I wrote this post! I am always thinking about how I'll just have to eventually have multiple homes to show off all of the styles I love, because there are many and they are all over the place! But realistically, I have enjoyed just going with whatever I like, be it bohemian or glamorous, vintage or modern and it kind of just works out. My home is very eclectic, but I love it! Great post, great photos!

Oh, lady, I'm exactly the same way! I try to remedy it by switching up my style a bit from room to room. Our living room is a little more traditional, the kitchen is fun and funky, and bedroom sort of beachy and the office is pretty modern. I just try to keep things cohesive by taking one color or pattern from each room and bringing it into the next...just that little consistency really makes it work, in my opinion! :)
